Cheri Streby, MLIS

Cheri Streby is the Research Librarian at Owings & Associates Inc. She is responsible for creating and maintaining the company-wide research library and provides resources and research services to staff and clients.

Cheri received her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Washington in 2004. While completing her graduate studies at UW, she worked as a library assistant at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle.

Cheri has a strong interest in literacy issues for children and young adults and has volunteered at the Youth Service Center library, an institutional branch of the King County Library System located in King County's Juvenile Detention Facility. As part of her master’s degree portfolio, Cheri reviewed over 30 children’s books and created a website featuring those reviews.

Cheri has been an active member of the Special Library Association from 2003-present.
